That's good Zan, now just what surface did you use to cut them on? Cutting boards usually hold the most germs I believe. Woods is the worst, plastic
probably a little better, but I guess glass would be the best surface for cutting on? At least cutting your own at home you know what they are touching; in a
restuarant, who the hell knows????????????

My cutting board is tempered glass. After reading some years back about what lives in those little score marks on the wood and plastic cutting boards, I
whipped those babies right into the trash and never bought another one!!
The good thing about the glass one, too, is I can leave it on the counter ready to use and the counter surface shows through and the board is barely visible. |

really it's only common sense about eating lemons or any fruit with skin in a restaurant...i've watched bartenders prepare lemons and limes for
drinks..they took them right out of the net bag, cut them up and put them in the fruit dispenser...never seeing a drop of wash water...i'm sure the fruit
in restaurant kitchens is treated the same way...who knows what disgusting warehouse floor, truck, etc. it may have rolled on...i've never thought of it
before, but now i'll never ask for fruit in my drink again...thanks, FG
